What we do
Supply
We maintain comprehensive stocks of equipment, components and spares, for lifting machines and tackle, industrial door accessories, height safety applications, ropes and specialist rigging. We have business relationships with a wide range of manufacturers, ensuring short lead times for non-stock items and specialist knowledge for every application.
When proprietary equipment is not appropriate, our in-house design department work with customers and project co-ordinators to develop bespoke solutions. In addition to our trade counters, a growing range of our supply equipment can be bought through our Product Catalogue. See the link at the top of this page.
Installation
Installations are tailored to suit a client’s calendar of work, site conditions and available equipment. A site visit is made prior to quoting in order to discuss the job and assess the equipment and personnel requirements. All engineers are LEEA trained and fully qualified in specialist disciplines.
Method statements and risk assessments are completed for every job and available to our clients.
Support
We provide an extensive package of support services to ensure our clients meet statutory regulations and benefit from increased lifespan of equipment. Carried out by our fully qualified, LEEA accredited engineers, our clients can choose from individual services or opt for a bespoke maintenance package.
Examination
Detailed examinations of equipment are carried out in accordance with statutory regulations by our engineers in order to detect possible defects and ensure compliance. Customers are advised by our engineer about the status of their equipment and any remedial requirement. Reporting is available in a choice of media.
Maintenance
Regular servicing of work equipment is a legal requirement in addition to being a cost effective way of reducing downtime and extending the lifespan of your investment.
Repair
Defective equipment that is not beyond the “economical repair” criteria can be speedily repaired.
Breakdown Cover
From time to time, even well maintained equipment can be subject to unforeseen breakdown. AM Defence & Marine respond to breakdown calls in an agreed timeframe, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum.
Testing
Testing is carried out in accordance with statutory and customer requirements. We have two fully equipped test houses in Dorset and Cornwall, UK. Where onsite testing is required, our engineers use water bags, live weights, test rigs and fully calibrated load measuring devices.
Planned Maintenance Package
Our Planned Maintenance Package ensures that your items of equipment are always fully maintained and up to date. Equipment data and maintenance frequency profiles are stored on our system which automatically produces a reminder letter when equipment support is due. Scheduling in advance prioritises Planned Maintenance Package customers and ensures that work is carried out within their chosen timeframe.
